# Bitcoin nonprofit BitGive teams up with US-Based NGO to provide aid to Venezuela

> BitGive, the first Bitcoin 501(c)(3) nonprofit recognized by the U.S. government, has entered into a partnership with a US-based non-profit organization that is providing large-scale humanitarian aid in Venezuela.

[BitGive](<https://www.bitgivefoundation.org/>), the first Bitcoin 501(c)(3) nonprofit [recognized](<https://www.coindesk.com/bitgive-becomes-first-irs-tax-exempt-bitcoin-charity>) by the U.S. government, has entered into a partnership with a US-based non-profit organization that is providing large-scale humanitarian aid in Venezuela.

Together, they have worked to onboard three new projects to [GiveTrack](<https://www.givetrack.org/>), BitGive’s flagship donation tracking platform:

The [first](<https://www.givetrack.org/project-details/44/Help-Venezuelan-Orphans>) project will focus on supporting Venezuelan orphans – providing food, clothes, shoes, medications, toys, and clean drinking water to orphans suffering in orphanages

The [second](<https://www.givetrack.org/project-details/45/Help-Abandoned-Venezuelan-Pets>) will support Venezuelan animal shelters by providing high quality food, vitamins and supplements, flea and tick collars, and more

The [third](<https://www.givetrack.org/project-details/46/Help-Venezuelan-Hospitals>) will provide quality food and medicine for vulnerable adults and children in hospitals across the country

“We’re really excited to onboard these new projects onto GiveTrack because we have the opportunity to make a real difference for a country in need,” Connie Gallippi, Founder and Executive Director of BitGive, said.

“Our NGO partner has a tried-and-true reputation of uplifting individuals and rebuilding communities in South America through humanitarian aid. Now, with GiveTrack, we’re able to showcase their work and commitment to the global Bitcoin community and hopefully inspire the community to donate to these worthy causes.”

In addition, GiveTrack has also launched a [new project](<https://www.givetrack.org/project-details/39/1000-Bone-marrow-donors>) in partnership with the Ukrainian Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Donations will support the registration of new bone marrow donors to help support the fight against blood cancer.

GiveTrack is a donation platform for nonprofits to provide transparency and accountability to donors by sharing financial information and direct project results in real time. BitGive [launched](<https://www.forbes.com/sites/rebeccacampbell1/2018/12/05/bitgive-launches-bitcoin-donation-platform-givetrack-1-0-supports-four-new-non-profits/#234043109e56>) the beta version of Givetrack in October 2017 and launched GiveTrack 1.0 in December 2018.
