# MoonPay Announces North Capital Acquisition to Enter Tokenized Securities

MoonPay announced plans to acquire North Capital Investment Technology in a move to expand into tokenized securities and regulated U.S. market infrastructure.

The transaction is structured as an all-stock deal valued at more than $60 million. MoonPay did not disclose the purchase price.

North Capital provides custody, secondary-market trading and tokenization services for debt and equity assets. Its regulatory business includes broker-dealer, alternative trading system, transfer-agent and investment-adviser capabilities tied to the U.S. securities market.

The acquisition would give MoonPay infrastructure to broaden its work in tokenized assets, including tokenized stocks. It also moves the company beyond crypto payments and related digital-asset services into regulated securities-market operations.

The deal remains an acquisition plan rather than a completed transaction.
