# Bessemer Raises $5.75 Billion for AI Startups Across Growth Stages

Bessemer Venture Partners raised $5.75 billion across two funds focused on artificial intelligence companies, giving the firm new capital for investments spanning early-stage startups and more established growth companies.

The firm allocated $1.75 billion for seed and early-stage investments, while reserving $4 billion for growth-stage startups. Bessemer announced the fundraising on Sept. 23.

Since 2022, the firm has backed over 260 companies built around AI. Its $3 billion in AI-related investments spans compute, infrastructure, foundation models, developer tools, app-layer startups and agentic technology.

The firm’s portfolio includes Anthropic, Cognition, Legora, Perplexity, Ramp, Shopify and Waymo. It has also backed enterprise software companies including Box, Docusign and Gainsight.
