> Fiscal fourth-quarter revenue is projected to exceed guidance, with gross margin at 87.6% as memory pricing strengthens.

Micron Technology’s fiscal fourth-quarter revenue is projected at $52.4 billion, slightly above the company’s guidance ceiling, as higher memory pricing lifts results and the company approaches the end of a buyback restriction.

Gross margin is projected at 87.6%, about 160 basis points above guidance. Fiscal first-quarter revenue is expected to reach $58 billion to $59 billion, with gross margin rising about 100 basis points from the previous quarter.

Dynamic random-access memory, or DRAM, is expected to generate $39.7 billion in fiscal fourth-quarter revenue. Bit shipments are projected to increase 3% from the previous quarter, while average selling prices rise 23%.

High-bandwidth memory revenue is projected at $3.5 billion, with bit shipments increasing 9% and average selling prices rising 10%. NAND revenue is expected to reach $12.7 billion, driven by a 4% increase in bit shipments and a 23% rise in average selling prices.

The DRAM market is expected to remain undersupplied through at least the second quarter of 2028. Server DDR bit demand is projected to grow about 80%, while combined server and storage solid-state drive bit demand could increase more than 100%.

The CHIPS Act restriction on stock buybacks is scheduled to expire Dec. 9, 2026. Buybacks are expected to begin in fiscal second-quarter 2027, or February 2027, at about $20 billion for the quarter before rising quickly to $40 billion to $50 billion.

Micron may not disclose detailed buyback plans during its earnings call. Capital spending for fiscal 2027 is projected at about $51 billion.
