> The Clearing House plans to connect 25 major financial institutions through a network expected to open in the first half of 2027.

Quant (QNT) surged more than threefold in a week after The Clearing House selected the company to provide technology for a U.S. tokenized-deposit network involving 25 major financial institutions.

QNT climbed from about $61 in mid-September to roughly $268 by Monday, a gain of about 309% over seven days. Trading was highly volatile, with the token moving between approximately $158 and $358 over a 24-hour period.

The Clearing House’s On-Chain Money Initiative is designed to let financial institutions clear and settle tokenized deposit transactions. Quant will provide the network’s interoperability, orchestration and transaction-management layer while connecting it with the existing RTP real-time payments system and CHIPS large-value payment network.

The initiative is expected to open to participating institutions in the first half of 2027. Tokenized deposits represent bank money in digital form and are being developed as banks build blockchain-based payment and settlement infrastructure.
