# Bitdeer Plans 28 MW Bitcoin Mining Deployment at Texas Wind Site

Bitdeer plans to deploy about 28 megawatts of Bitcoin (BTC) mining equipment at Soluna Holdings’ wind-powered Project Kati 1 in Texas, expanding mining capacity through a revenue-sharing arrangement.

The deployment at the 83 MW data center in Willacy County is scheduled to begin in Sept. 2026 and ramp up in batches. It is expected to add approximately 1.93 exahashes per second (EH/s) to the site’s mining capacity.

The equipment will operate in Project Kati 1’s K1BC phase. Bitdeer will supply and own Sealminer A2 Pro Air machines for the deployment.

The arrangement uses a co-mining structure instead of a conventional fixed-fee hosting model. Soluna will provide the site, power and turnkey operations, while the companies will share proceeds generated by the mining activity.

“Every megawatt we have energized taught us something about how to run this infrastructure well,” Soluna CEO John Belizaire said. “Co-mining is a natural extension of that operating history.”

Project Kati 1 recorded its first gross profit in the second quarter of 2026. Soluna had 192 MW of data-center capacity operating across Project Sophie in Kentucky and Projects Dorothy 1, Dorothy 2 and Kati 1 in Texas as of Aug. 25, with another 14 MW under construction at Kati 1.

The revenue-sharing percentages, projected revenue and number of machines assigned to each deployment batch were not disclosed.
