> Revenue reached $4.59 billion in 2025, while operating losses grew to $8.06 billion and two customers accounted for 24% of sales.

Anthropic's filing ahead of a potential initial public offering shows a $42 billion net loss in 2025 alongside rapidly rising revenue and about $518 billion in multiyear cloud, computing and infrastructure commitments.

Revenue rose to $4.59 billion from $386 million in 2024, while operating losses widened to $8.06 billion. Computing and infrastructure expenses reached $7.33 billion, equal to 58% of operating costs and about 1.6 times annual revenue.

The net loss included roughly $34 billion in noncash accounting expenses tied to changes in the value of financing instruments that may convert into equity. Anthropic also reported $20.28 billion in cash and short-term investments.

The $518 billion commitment covers contracts spread across multiple years, including arrangements with major cloud and infrastructure providers. It does not represent spending planned for a single year, although the disclosed commitments underscore the capital demands of developing and operating large AI models.

Customer concentration adds another risk: Anthropic's two largest direct customers each represented 12% of revenue. The company expects revenue to reach about $190 billion to $200 billion in 2028, placing its growth plans against the scale of its long-term infrastructure obligations.
