Baillie Gifford has launched a tokenized bond fund issued on Ethereum and Solana, giving eligible professional investors access to a short-duration portfolio with a targeted yield of approximately 7%.

The Edinburgh-based asset manager’s Enhanced Yield Fund, ticker BAGEY, began operating on June 22, 2026, through its digital assets unit, BGDA UK. The fund requires a minimum investment of $100 and accepts settlement in USDC or fiat currencies.

BAGEY holds a mix of public corporate and government bonds. Its portfolio has a duration of roughly two years and an average credit quality rating of BBB. The fund calculates its net asset value daily.

The fund’s shares are created directly on public blockchains. Ethereum and Solana serve as the ownership record, without a traditional wrapper between investors and the tokens.

The product is restricted to eligible professional investors. By Sept. 29, availability had expanded to professional investors in Switzerland, Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.

BitGo Bank & Trust, BNY, Anchorage Digital and Archax handle custody and tokenization for the fund. The structure combines a conventional bond portfolio with blockchain-based issuance and settlement, while retaining daily valuation and fiat settlement options.
