> The fourth fiat-backed token in AllUnity’s lineup will target a 1:1 dollar peg and launch on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc and Polygon.

AllUnity is launching USDAU, a U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin regulated under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, expanding its lineup as dollar-pegged tokens dominate the global market.

The token will maintain a 1:1 peg to the U.S. dollar through segregated reserves. Its launch will span Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc and Polygon.

USDAU is AllUnity’s fourth fiat-backed stablecoin. The company already issues EURAU, backed by the euro; CHFAU, backed by the Swiss franc; and SEKAU, backed by the Swedish krona.

Dollar-linked tokens make up more than 99% of the approximately $291 billion global stablecoin market by capitalization. Their concentration has become a policy issue in Europe as stablecoins gain a role in tokenized finance and digital payments.

The European Central Bank warned in June that broader use of dollar stablecoins in European tokenized finance could increase dependence on the dollar and weaken the euro’s role. MiCA allows stablecoins to be issued by credit institutions or electronic-money institutions. Nonbank issuers must use an asset-backed model, while banks generally rely on their balance sheets.
