> Adjusted earnings reached $33.42 per share, while quarterly revenue nearly quadrupled from a year earlier as memory supply remains tight.

Micron posted better-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and revenue Wednesday as demand for memory used in artificial intelligence infrastructure continued to outpace supply.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $33.42 per share, compared with an expected $31.61, and revenue of $54.23 billion versus an expected $51.07 billion. Revenue nearly quadrupled from $11.32 billion a year earlier.

Micron is the only U.S.-based producer of high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, a component used by advanced graphics and central processors to handle AI workloads. The global shortage of memory chips has pushed up costs and contributed to higher prices for some consumer electronics.

The company plans to invest $250 billion in two new HBM manufacturing campuses. A new facility in Boise, Idaho, is scheduled to begin operations next year, while construction on a larger campus in Clay, New York, began in January.

Micron’s stock has risen more than 500% over the past year as AI demand has strengthened the memory market. Executives were scheduled to discuss the results with analysts at 4:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.
