StraitsX plans to bring two fiat-pegged stablecoins to the Monad network in early 2027, giving applications access to Singapore and U.S. dollar tokens as Monad also signals a privacy initiative whose details have not been disclosed.

The planned deployment covers XSGD, pegged to the Singapore dollar, and XUSD, pegged to the U.S. dollar. XSGD would be the first Singapore dollar stablecoin issued natively on Monad. The launch depends on technical, regulatory and compliance requirements.

StraitsX is also considering cross-border payment and settlement flows and card programs involving the tokens. Those applications remain exploratory and are not announced products.

Monad has teased a privacy announcement ahead of its Open event in Singapore on Oct. 6. The available details do not identify the technology or products involved, or when any privacy features might become available.

The stablecoin plan sets out a potential source of activity for Monad, while the privacy announcement has no disclosed scope yet. The stablecoin deployment is planned for early 2027, and the payment applications remain under consideration.
