> VerifyMe was renamed OpenWorld, Inc., with shares trading as OPNW. The company plans to pursue a dual listing on Figure OPEN, which it expects to be live by November 2026.

OpenWorld began trading on Nasdaq as OPNW on Oct. 1 after completing its business combination with VerifyMe, giving public-market investors access to a company focused on building infrastructure for institutional real-world asset tokenization.

The business combination was completed on Sept. 30. It followed a shareholder vote, after which OpenWorld became a wholly owned subsidiary of VerifyMe. VerifyMe was renamed OpenWorld, Inc., and its common stock ticker changed from VerifyMe (VRME) to OpenWorld, Inc. (OPNW).

Matthew Shaw is the combined company’s chairman and chief executive, and Russ McMeekin is group president. OpenWorld Enterprise combines financial structuring and blockchain infrastructure to support the development, issuance and distribution of tokenized real-world assets. The company’s stated areas of focus also include stablecoin infrastructure and capital-markets advisory.

OpenWorld plans to pursue a dual listing on Figure OPEN, a blockchain-based trading platform. The company expects the platform to be live by November 2026, while successful tokenization of OpenWorld’s equity securities there remains uncertain.

Nasdaq listed a special cash dividend of $1.50 per share, payable Oct. 2 to shareholders of record Sept. 29. The dividend was adjusted in connection with a 1-for-10 reverse stock split.
