> Bridge-enabled Visa cards were live in 18 countries in March. Stripe’s separate roadmap includes card previews in 60 countries.

Bridge plans to expand its stablecoin-linked Visa cards from 18 countries to more than 100 by the end of 2026, extending a payment product that lets users spend stablecoin balances across Visa’s global merchant network.

The cards were live in 18 countries in March. The planned expansion covers Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Users can make purchases at more than 175 million merchant locations, and transactions can settle onchain through Bridge’s partnership with Lead Bank.

Bridge, a Stripe company, is developing the card program as Stripe advances separate card products. Stripe’s roadmap lists a public preview of consumer or commercial stablecoin-backed cards in 60 countries for the third quarter.

A separate fourth-quarter preview would offer Stripe-issued cards to platforms’ customers. Stripe financial accounts are available in 100 countries, while card spending would be available in 60. The roadmap also includes a fourth-quarter preview for spending stablecoin balances held in decentralized finance lending protocols.

Stripe stablecoin issuing is available on request in more than 30 countries. The company launched Open USD (OUSD) support across Treasury, Issuing, Global Payouts, Crypto Onramp and Payments on Sept. 30.

Bridge’s planned expansion target and Stripe’s roadmap figures describe distinct offerings. The Bridge card rollout is targeted to exceed 100 countries by year-end; Stripe’s roadmap lists previews for its card products in 60 countries.
