> Users can wager on crypto, equities, commodities, futures and currencies without owning the underlying assets, with losses capped at the original stake.

Moon.com has launched a market-betting platform offering leverage of up to 1,000x across crypto, equities, commodities, futures and currencies without transferring ownership of the underlying assets.

Users choose whether a referenced asset’s price will rise or fall, then select a wager and leverage level. A $100 wager at 1,000x leverage represents $100,000 in market exposure.

A bet is automatically settled as a loss when the market reaches its displayed “Bust Price.” Losses are limited to the original wager, and the account balance cannot fall below zero from the bet.

Moon describes the service as entertainment betting rather than trading, investing, brokerage or financial advisory activity. Moon International Limited, registered in the Union of the Comoros, is identified as the operator and counterparty to every bet.

The platform operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Prices are based on aggregated feeds from institutional market-data providers, and supported equities may be priced outside regular exchange hours.

Moon charges a 1% opening fee based on the wager rather than the total leveraged exposure. A $1,000 wager at 10x leverage would incur a $10 opening fee. Open bets may also incur periodic holding fees after eight hours.

The capped loss does not eliminate the risk of rapid losses. High leverage can cause a bet to be lost after a price movement of a fraction of 1%, while multiple wagers can deplete a user’s entire balance.

“This is the product retail traders have needed for twenty years,” Conrad Castleton said.

Live accounts require email and identity verification, including government-issued identification and proof of address. Cryptocurrency deposits are supported, while access is subject to jurisdictional restrictions and geolocation checks.

Moon also offers a play-money mode with a simulated balance that can be topped up to $100,000.
