> David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz will lead a combined company spanning film studios, broadcast television, pay-TV networks and streaming services.

Paramount Skydance’s newly combined media business faces an integration challenge as co-CEOs David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz prepare for a public appearance after completing the Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition.

Ellison and Kreiz are scheduled to appear in a media interview at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC) Thursday. They will lead a company that includes the Paramount and Warner Bros. film studios, CBS, pay-TV networks such as CNN, TNT, MTV and BET, and the Paramount+ and HBO Max streaming services.

Ellison, who also serves as chairman, will focus on creative strategy, technology and long-term planning. Kreiz will oversee the integration of the two companies as well as daily operations.

Ellison has said the company plans to combine Paramount+ and HBO Max. The executives must also manage theater-release obligations tied to a settlement with state attorneys general who challenged the acquisition on antitrust grounds.

The agreement requires Paramount Skydance to release at least 30 films annually into theaters in 2027 and 2028. The combined company currently has 35 films scheduled for release in 2027.

The acquisition followed a large debt-financing effort. The bonds fell after issuance as investors weighed pressure on the film and television businesses, including cord-cutting and weaker advertising conditions.
