Humana shares rose about 13% in after-hours trading Thursday after the insurer’s H5216 Medicare Advantage contract received a higher quality rating for 2027.

The contract received a 4-star rating, up from 3.5 stars previously. H5216 covers approximately 2.4 million members and is one of Humana’s large Medicare Advantage plans.

Humana shares were up about 13% at 5:41 p.m. ET (21:41 UTC) Thursday.
