> The new policy replaces monthly treasury votes as September annual recurring revenue reached $11.5 million, up 86% quarter over quarter.

Pyth DAO approved a standing policy directing 100% of eligible product revenue and non-PYTH treasury assets toward open-market purchases of PYTH, linking the network’s commercial growth to token accumulation.

OP-PIP-136 passed Sept. 24, replacing a process in which the DAO voted each month on purchases tied to one-third of its non-PYTH holdings. Eligible revenue includes fees from Pyth Pro, Listing as a Service, the Data Marketplace, Pyth Indices, Pyth Core and Pyth Entropy.

The first purchases under the new authorization occurred Sept. 30. The PYTH reserve held 42 million tokens after those transactions. Purchases remain subject to a maximum 5% slippage limit and a $25,000 cap per transaction.

The accumulated tokens cannot be sold, lent, leveraged or distributed without another DAO-approved proposal. The policy also leaves direct PYTH distributions separate from market purchases.

September annual recurring revenue reached $11.5 million, an 86% increase from the previous quarter. Pyth Indices contributed $1.81 million in fixed annual recurring revenue, giving the DAO a larger commercial revenue base for the new purchase framework.
