> The companies plan institutional use cases involving trust-bank stablecoins, tokenized deposits, cross-border payments and securities, but disclosed no customers or launch date.

Matter Labs and NexBridge are taking Prividium, a private-ledger platform for institutions, to Japan under a partnership that could expand ZKsync’s institutional reach without establishing new demand for its ZK token.

The partnership was announced Oct. 5 (Oct. 5 UTC), with the Japanese release issued Oct. 6 local time. NexBridge will market Prividium in Japan and provide implementation support.

The companies plan to develop products for trust-bank stablecoins, bank-issued tokenized deposits, cross-border payments, tokenized securities and other real-world assets. The work will be tailored to Japanese regulatory, security and operating requirements.

Prividium is built for institutions that need private control over ledger activity while using zero-knowledge proofs to verify transactions on Ethereum. Its design keeps transaction and customer information inside each institution’s controlled environment while supporting private digital-asset issuance, settlement and tokenization.

More than 35 financial institutions have validated Prividium’s architecture, although the Japan announcement does not identify those institutions. The agreement represents a distribution and development effort rather than a disclosed deployment with a named Japanese bank.

The expansion may strengthen ZKsync’s institutional-growth narrative, but the announcement does not establish that Prividium transactions require ZK, generate fees for ZK holders or create direct demand for the asset. It also does not disclose changes to ZK’s utility, supply, fees or staking economics.

ZKsync previously [opened Prividium’s core code under the Apache 2.0 license](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/27554>), making the software available under a permissive open-source license. The Japan partnership’s next step is joint development and local implementation support; no deployment date was provided.
