> A filing confirms the proposed offering but does not specify its size or use of proceeds as the company expands artificial-intelligence infrastructure.

Tencent is considering an international note offering as it continues to expand its artificial-intelligence infrastructure. The potential size and use of proceeds have not been specified.

Tencent filed notice Monday of a proposed international note offering for professional investors. The filing did not specify the transaction’s size, currency or use of proceeds. The notes will not be offered publicly in the United States.

The potential deal may include U.S.-dollar and offshore-yuan tranches. Tencent has not entered a binding agreement, and the company cautioned that the offering may not be completed.

Tencent’s capital expenditures reached $7.9 billion in the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The spending category includes information-technology infrastructure, computer equipment, data centers, land-use rights, offices and intellectual property.

The company completed a June issuance totaling $2.45 billion and RMB15 billion. Tencent said it is continuing to invest in AI infrastructure and applications, with higher computing procurement and related infrastructure costs contributing to the increase in spending.
