> The investment-management platform unveiled AI features at its fifth annual Base Camp conference in California, attended by nearly 400 industry leaders.

Ridgeline announced a $250 million Series E financing round at a $1.425 billion valuation as the investment-management platform showcased new artificial intelligence tools at its annual customer conference.

The financing was led by founder and Chairman Dave Duffield. Participants included Motley Fool Ventures, associates of Smead Capital Management and Patrick O’Shaughnessy.

Ridgeline’s fifth annual Base Camp conference ran Sept. 14-17 in Carlsbad, California, drawing nearly 400 asset- and wealth-management leaders from the United States and Canada. The company also highlighted more than 650 customer-requested capabilities delivered across its platform during the past year.

New features included an expanded Ridgeline Assistant that analyzes files and platform data through chat. The company also demonstrated agentic workflows that combine firm or user “skills” with automated processes, along with a redesigned user experience.

Ridgeline combines front-, middle- and back-office investment-management functions through shared data, workflows and controls. More than $760 billion in assets under management were committed to the platform at the time of the conference announcement.

“The pace of change is accelerating like nothing I've seen in my career. The status quo no longer scales,” Ridgeline CEO Dave Blair said.

“Our goal is not to replace our people with AI. Far from it. What we want to do is 10x our business,” said Ryan Bateman, chief technology officer and chief information security officer at Sands Capital.

Sonia Ernst, managing partner at Cabot Wealth Management, described the platform as “definitely saving us time and allowing us to focus on other things like the growth of the firm and our clients.”

Ridgeline also said its AI Management System is certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, a management-system standard covering the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of artificial intelligence governance processes. The certification claim was part of the company’s conference announcement.
