Johnson Electric is expanding its warehouse-automation focus with motion systems designed to improve throughput and uptime for e-commerce, logistics and parcel-delivery operations.

The Hong Kong-headquartered manufacturer is highlighting TrueDrive MDR with Dynamic Zone Control, VersaSort steerable-wheel modules and the Solligence Shoe Sorter Actuator.

VersaSort supports throughput of up to 11,600 parcels per hour, conveyor speeds of up to 400 feet per minute, item weights of up to 80 pounds and divert angles of up to 90 degrees.

TrueDrive supports conveyor speeds of up to 400 feet per minute, payloads of up to 80 pounds, throughput improvement of up to 150% and operating noise of 45 decibels. The Solligence actuator lists an actuation time of five milliseconds.

“We continued to listen closely to our customers and monitor their pain points, which further strengthened our understanding of sortation and conveyance,” Austin Wang, executive vice president at Johnson Electric, said.

“What we learned led us to develop innovations to increase throughput and speed, such as TrueDrive MDR with Dynamic Zone Control (DZC), VersaSort steerable wheel modules and the Solligence Shoe Sorter Actuator,” Wang said.

Vincent Sallé, vice president of warehouse automation at Johnson Electric, said customers need motion technologies that can raise throughput and uptime while reducing mechanical complexity and maintenance demands.

Johnson Electric’s portfolio covers conveyor transport, parcel sortation and shoe-sorter systems. Its 2026 annual report lists warehouse automation among the company’s higher-growth specialized segments but does not provide separate revenue or profit figures for the business.

In 2024, TrueDrive Dynamic Zone Control was described as increasing conveyor throughput by up to 250% and providing 100% uptime. VersaSort was also described as handling packages as small as 50 millimeters by 38 millimeters.

Those earlier figures differ from the current product specifications and use different performance descriptions. Johnson Electric has not explained whether the difference reflects configurations, test conditions or another factor.
