> Accion Opportunity Fund’s 10-year projection applies its historical lending model to Ripple’s $10 million in lending equity. The capital is part of a $15 million commitment made in 2025.

Ripple’s $10 million contribution to nonprofit lender Accion Opportunity Fund could support as much as $900 million in U.S. gross domestic product over 10 years through small-business lending, based on the fund’s historical lending model.

The contribution was made in Ripple USD (RLUSD), Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin, and is part of a $15 million commitment to the fund in 2025. The projection is an estimate, not economic activity already generated or a guaranteed outcome.

The lending equity will remain on Accion Opportunity Fund’s balance sheet to help secure and support loans over time. The projected impact will depend on how the capital supports future lending and business activity.

The fund’s lending from 2015 through 2025 supported $960 million in cumulative small-business loans and an estimated $5.46 billion in new GDP. Its past lending reached nearly 20,000 businesses.

“Our partnership with Accion Opportunity Fund and these findings underscore the transformative impact capital access can have on small business owners and communities,” Ripple Social Impact Director Jonathan Perri said.
