# Lolli, Petco to reward paw parents with bitcoin when shopping

Bitcoin rewards app Lolli has partnered with American pet retailer Petco to provide pet owners the opportunity to receive bitcoin back on purchases through Petco.com.

As per a blog post on Aug. 23, there are two ways to earn rewards from the partnership. First, Lolli users can enjoy up to 3.5% satoshis (sats) back for every purchase made on Petco’s website, Petco.com. Second, Lolli users can also earn flat 5,000 sats payment for sharing a photo of their dog and commenting on the new deal. As of writing, 5,000 sats is equivalent to $0.50.

Petco is a leading pet specialty retailer with over 50 years of service. The company operates in more than 1,500 locations across the United States and Mexico.

Founded in March 2018, Lolli allows its users to earn sats, the smallest unit of bitcoin while shopping. It claims to be the first bitcoin reward application, partnering with over 500 brands such as Hilton, Marriott, VRBO, Hotwire, and Priceline.

“We are thrilled to partner with Petco and give our users the opportunity to earn bitcoin for taking care of their furry friends. Pet food, toys, and treats are recurring costs, and now our users can look forward to bitcoin rewards for looking after their pets… especially doggie,” Matt Senter, CTO and Co-Founder of Lolli, said.

In June, Lolli has also partnered with major booking service Hotels.com. Under the deal, global travelers can earn up to 3.5% bitcoin back from purchases made via the Lolli website.
