> Second-quarter revenue totaled $7.814 billion, while the company posted a $541 million net loss.

SpaceX’s second-quarter revenue nearly doubled from a year earlier as its AI business expanded, while the company spent $15.828 billion on AI during a quarter in which it recorded a $541 million net loss.

Revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2026, reached $7.814 billion, up 92% from $4.071 billion a year earlier. Growth came from SpaceX’s Space, Connectivity and AI businesses.

Connectivity revenue rose to $4.291 billion from $2.588 billion. Starlink subscribers grew 101.2% year over year, while average revenue per subscriber declined 22.4%.

AI revenue climbed to $2.561 billion from $737 million. SpaceX also had $14.1 billion in contracted sales under cloud services agreements, though contracted sales are not all recognized as revenue. The AI segment remained loss-making on an operating basis despite positive adjusted EBITDA.

Capital expenditures totaled $18.369 billion in the second quarter, including $15.828 billion for AI. For the first half of 2026, capital expenditures reached $28.476 billion, of which $23.551 billion was for AI.

At the end of June, SpaceX had $100 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities, and a $47.5 billion backlog.

The Federal Communications Commission authorized SpaceX in January to deploy 15,000 additional next-generation Starlink satellites. The authorization does not establish that the satellites have launched or that mobile service using them is operating.

SpaceX’s Oct. 8, 2026, update named EchoStar as the counterparty to an agreement involving 50 megahertz of U.S. S-band spectrum and global Mobile Satellite Service licenses.
