> The European settlement integration would use Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the XRP Ledger, with U.S. expansion planned. DriveWealth supports investment services for more than 100 global partners.

DriveWealth and Ripple plan to add stablecoin settlement and cross-border payment options to brokerage infrastructure that supports 24/5 trading, aiming to make funding more flexible when bank processing windows do not match trading hours.

The companies announced the partnership Wednesday, Oct. 14. The initial settlement integration is planned for Europe and will use Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the XRP Ledger. U.S. expansion is planned, but the companies have not announced a rollout date.

The planned setup would let DriveWealth clients fund brokerage collateral accounts with stablecoins that convert to cash near real time. Ripple Payments is also part of the plan to handle cross-border funding from DriveWealth’s global partners. DriveWealth’s infrastructure supports investment services for more than 100 partners worldwide, including fintechs, digital wallets and financial institutions offering access to U.S. markets; the partnership does not specify how many will use the new services.

DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan said the platform already supports trading 24 hours a day, five days a week. “We've already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match, so clients can move with the markets instead of waiting for them,” Hassan said.

Most U.S. broker-dealer securities transactions have followed a T+1 settlement cycle since May 28, 2024, meaning settlement generally occurs one business day after a trade. That securities-market standard does not set the time it takes cross-border funds to reach a brokerage account.

DriveWealth and Ripple are also working on digital-asset custody support in Europe, with plans to expand to additional markets over time. The companies are exploring equity-financing opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business.
