> Revenue reached $46.72 billion, while 2-nanometer manufacturing contributed 8% of wafer sales and advanced nodes accounted for 79%.

Chipmaker TSMC reported third-quarter net income of NT$763.064 billion, up 68.7% year over year, as demand for advanced manufacturing processes continued to grow and 2-nanometer production began adding revenue.

Quarterly revenue was $46.72 billion, rising 41.2% from a year earlier and 16.2% from the second quarter. Net income increased 8% from the prior quarter.

TSMC’s gross margin was 66.4%, operating margin was 58.7% and net margin was 51.1%. Earnings per share reached NT$29.43, up 68.7% from the same period last year.

The 2-nanometer process contributed 8% of wafer revenue in the quarter. The 3-nanometer process accounted for 33%, the largest share for any single node, while 5 nanometers supplied 28%. Together, 2-, 3-, 5- and 7-nanometer processes made up 79% of wafer revenue.

The results provide a timely measure of advanced-chip demand relevant to the global AI supply chain, with TSMC’s newest process now contributing to quarterly revenue and advanced nodes representing most wafer sales.
