Nike plans to establish a Bengaluru campus for Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse, adding to its India operations as the company reorganizes while facing a sharp decline in Greater China revenue.

Nike announced the project Oct. 1 as one element of Pace, which covers supply-chain upgrades, a shift to three operating regions, the India site and workforce changes. Employees already based in India will relocate in stages, and the campus is set to expand over several years. Nike has not set a firm opening date. India is already an operating market for Nike, making the campus an expansion of its footprint rather than an announced entry into the country. Nike President and CEO Elliott Hill described the campus as “a long-term investment in new capabilities and talent.”

For the three months ended Aug. 31, 2026, Nike recorded $11.2 billion in revenue, down 4% on a reported basis from a year earlier. The company also reported a 5% decline after adjusting for currency movements. Greater China revenue dropped 26% on a currency-neutral basis, including a 31% decrease in wholesale revenue and an 18% fall in Nike Direct.

Nike’s Asia Pacific & Latin America segment posted $1.463 billion in revenue, unchanged on a currency-neutral basis. Higher revenue in India, Southeast Asia, and Central and South America offset declines in Japan, Korea and Mexico. India is included within the regional segment, and Nike does not provide a separate revenue figure for the country.

The Bengaluru campus is one of four parts of Pace. Nike plans to implement its three-region operating structure in fiscal 2028 and expects the plan to reduce its workforce over time. Decisions on jobs affected by the October changes are expected to begin in calendar 2027 and continue beyond.

Nike projects aggregate savings of about $2.5 billion through fiscal 2031, with pretax program costs and later reinvestment excluded. It also estimates approximately $1 billion in program charges, in addition to roughly $300 million in severance recognized in fiscal 2026 for the March 2026 plan.

Jessica Ramirez, co-founder and managing director of The Consumer Collective, said, “I don’t know that this plan of India is an immediate solution to their problems right now.”

Nike plans to provide more detail on its growth strategy and financial plan at Investor Day on Nov. 16-17.
