The Travelers Companies, Inc. posted core income per diluted share of $9.18 for the third quarter, alongside $11.103 billion in earned premiums, which were about 0.3% lower than a year earlier.

Earned premiums were $11.135 billion a year earlier, making the latest figure $32 million lower. The decline was about 0.3%, and the $11.103 billion result rounds to $11.1 billion.

Pre-tax underwriting income totaled $1.432 billion. Pre-tax underlying underwriting income was $1.736 billion.
