> The Oct. 13 announcement gave no deal amounts, stake sizes or closing dates. A separate five-year compute commitment for U.K. agentic safety and security research is valued at $250 million.

Nvidia plans investments in five U.K. startups spanning biological AI, infrastructure planning and quantum computing, extending its European startup push while leaving each deal’s amount, stake size and closing date unspecified.

The companies named Tuesday, Oct. 13, are Boltz, Foresight, Hiverge, Prima Mente and Riverlane. Boltz develops biomolecular models. Foresight forecasts infrastructure project schedules and risks, while Hiverge is an algorithm discovery engine. Prima Mente develops biological foundation models, and Riverlane works on quantum-computing error correction.

The announcement described all five investments as planned. It did not provide individual amounts, stake sizes or closing dates, so the scale of each deal is not specified.

Nvidia separately committed a five-year compute donation for U.K. agentic safety and security research, valued at $250 million. That equals $50 million in annual compute access and is separate from the five startup investments. In announcing the commitment, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, “AI capability and safety must advance together.”

The U.K. plans follow Nvidia’s £2 billion investment announcement for the country’s AI startup ecosystem in September 2025. On Monday, Oct. 12, Nvidia also announced planned investments in four French companies: Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment.

As of July 26, 2026, Nvidia had $99 billion in equity investments and $25 billion in equity investment commitments companywide. Nvidia’s stated aims for ecosystem investments are to expand growth opportunities, cultivate its ecosystem and strengthen its competitive position. Those totals cover the company’s broader portfolio and do not state the value of the five U.K. deals.

Nvidia participated in 88 venture rounds from Jan. 1 through Sept. 8, 2026, compared with 86 rounds in all of 2025. The count tracks rounds joined, not the size of Nvidia’s investments. Nvidia’s GTC Berlin conference is scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday, Oct. 20-22.
