# MEXC and Bitget Suspend QUBIC Transfers for Different Reasons

MEXC and Bitget have suspended QUBIC deposits and withdrawals, interrupting token transfers on two exchanges after their notices gave different reasons for the pauses.

MEXC said the Qubic project team requested its suspension. The notice did not give an exact start time. The pause covers deposits and withdrawals, so customers cannot move QUBIC into or out of MEXC while it remains active.

Bitget cited wallet maintenance for its suspension, effective Oct. 18 at 1:31 a.m. ET (05:31 UTC). Its notice gave no restart time. The stated reason differs from MEXC’s project-team request.

A deposit pause blocks transfers from outside wallets into an exchange account, while a withdrawal pause blocks transfers out. Customers are therefore unable to use either route on the affected exchange during the suspension. Qubic’s wallet recovery key is a 55-character seed used to restore wallet access.
