> The planned service would let users pay from existing crypto, stablecoin and fiat balances. Mesh would handle funding and conversion during each purchase.

Mesh and Visa are partnering to let people pay from participating crypto wallets at Visa merchants, bringing digital asset balances into ordinary checkout without an advance transfer or card top-up.

Under the planned service, participating wallets and platforms would support in-store purchases and online checkout. Users could draw on cryptocurrency, stablecoins or fiat money held in those accounts.

Mesh would set up a Visa payment credential in the background, allowing a customer to tap at a contactless terminal or pay online. Mesh would arrange the funding and any asset conversion needed for each purchase. Merchants would receive a standard Visa payment without changing their checkout equipment or process.

Mesh will also manage customer onboarding and identity checks for the program. The partnership links those services to Visa's existing merchant network, but the companies have yet to identify which platforms will offer the feature first.

Mesh and Visa plan to announce initial availability, supported devices and participating platforms after finalizing the rollout.
