> The deal would add a locally regulated brokerage as Plus500 plans to expand its Brazilian products. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Plus500 has conditionally agreed to acquire Guru Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários Ltda., giving the trading company a locally regulated entity as it pursues a separate U.S. brokerage expansion.

The agreement was announced Oct. 20. Guru is authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM). The purchase remains subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

If the deal closes, Plus500 plans to use Guru’s regulatory framework to expand its Brazilian offering to include stocks, futures, options and fixed-income securities. Guru has not yet begun distributing products, so the proposed offering is prospective. The companies did not disclose a purchase price or a completion date.

Plus500 plans to fund the acquisition with existing cash resources that exceeded $860 million as of June 30, 2026. That figure refers to the company’s cash resources, not Guru’s purchase price. Payment is due when the deal closes.

The Brazilian agreement follows Plus500’s conditional agreement, announced Oct. 13, to acquire Hedge Capital Markets Inc. and its subsidiaries, including a U.S. broker-dealer. Plus500 expects to launch a U.S. multi-asset app in the first quarter of 2027.

“This is another clear step in our value creation strategy to deepen our offering and reach new markets,” Plus500 CEO David Zruia said.
