> Wallet users can mint USTX with USDC from four networks. Brale issues the token and manages its dollar-denominated reserves.

tx began rolling out USTX to wallet users Oct. 20, introducing a dollar stablecoin designed to provide one balance for its planned marketplace for tokenized U.S. stocks and other assets.

At launch, users can mint USTX by depositing USDC from Ethereum, Base, Polygon or Solana. They can redeem USTX for USDC. Support for deposits from Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche and Celo is planned for a later phase.

Brale issues USTX and oversees its reserves. USTX's reserves include cash, bank balances, government money market funds and short-term U.S. Treasury bills, with assets backing each token dollar for dollar. Brale also handles minting and redemption.

USTX has its own reserves. USDC provides a way to mint the token, but USTX is separate from the USDC used in that process. Users who redeem USTX receive USDC.

tx intends to bring funds arriving from different networks into a single dollar balance that users can hold in its wallet and use across its products. Its planned marketplace will start with U.S. equities, with other asset classes expected to follow. The stablecoin is designed to support transactions in those tokenized assets.

tx co-founder Mike McCluskey called a native stablecoin “a strategic necessity to consolidate liquidity” as the company develops the marketplace. tx and Brale first partnered in 2024; tx is building the wallet and marketplace, while Brale provides the stablecoin issuance and reserve infrastructure.

Eligible users may receive rewards through tx wallet programs, subject to availability. For now, USTX is rolling out in the wallet. The next planned expansion will add USDC deposit support from Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche and Celo.
