Inspired Capital has closed its fourth venture fund at $450 million, giving a New York investor with two crypto businesses in its portfolio more capital to back early-stage companies.

The firm announced the close Oct. 20, lifting its total committed capital to more than $1.3 billion. It plans to continue leading pre-seed, seed and Series A financing rounds for startups.

Inspired Capital’s investment areas include AI infrastructure, health care, defense, fintech, robotics and consumer businesses. Its plans for the fourth fund span those sectors; the firm announced no allocation specifically for crypto or blockchain companies.

Founded in New York in 2019, Inspired Capital has invested in digital asset businesses as part of its wider technology portfolio.

That portfolio includes Syndica, which builds blockchain infrastructure and developer tools, and Utila, which provides a platform for crypto operations. Both are existing investments. No Fund IV investment in either company was announced.
