SpaceX's third-quarter revenue rose 161% to $14.575 billion as Super Intelligence became its largest segment, placing AI operations at the center of the rocket and satellite company's results.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, revenue climbed from $5.576 billion a year earlier. Super Intelligence generated $7.560 billion, or 51.9% of total sales, compared with $2.561 billion in the second quarter and $813 million a year earlier.

The segment brought in $7.022 billion from solutions and infrastructure and $538 million from advertising. New cloud service agreements, Grok and the acquisition of AI coding company Cursor contributed to its growth. SpaceX did not break out compute leasing as a separate revenue category.

Connectivity, which includes Starlink, generated $5.248 billion. The space segment brought in $1.767 billion, leaving both behind Super Intelligence for the quarter.

Capital expenditures totaled $19.593 billion, including $16.444 billion in Super Intelligence. SpaceX's nameplate compute capacity reached 1.7 gigawatts on Sept. 30, up from 1.4 gigawatts on June 30.

SpaceX acquired xAI on Feb. 2, bringing its AI business into the rocket and satellite company.
