> Net sales climbed 10% to €5.154 billion, but reported operating profit fell 22% to €196 million.

Nokia’s comparable diluted earnings per share hit €0.09 for the third quarter, topping its pre-quarter average by €0.03 as net sales grew 10% year over year.

The Oct. 15 consensus was €0.06 per share and €5.054 billion in net sales. Nokia’s €5.154 billion in sales exceeded that estimate by €100 million. Sales rose from €4.7 billion a year earlier, or 9% on a constant-currency basis.

Comparable operating profit increased 35% to €605 million. Reported operating profit fell 22% to €196 million. The gap primarily reflected €357 million in restructuring and associated charges, plus other items.

Reported diluted EPS from continuing operations was €0.03. Nokia’s comparable measure excludes items including restructuring charges, transaction and integration costs, acquired-intangible amortization and other items. The measure is not defined under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Sales to AI and cloud customers totaled €631 million, up 123% on a constant-currency basis. New orders from those customers reached €1.5 billion, and order intake increased 118%. Network Infrastructure sales grew 15% on a constant-currency basis, including 43% growth in IP Networks and 18% growth in Optical Networks.

Nokia President and CEO Justin Hotard said, “In AI & Cloud, net sales more than doubled year-over-year and we secured EUR 1.5 billion in new orders.” Nokia left its 2026 target for comparable operating profit unchanged, with a range of €2.1 billion to €2.6 billion. It expects fourth-quarter operating profit to rise enough to put the full-year result above the range’s midpoint.
