> A sum of GM’s model-level U.S. delivery figures shows 82,152 EVs from January through September, down 43.2% year over year. EV-related charges totaled $11.2 billion since the second half of 2025.

General Motors’ adjusted earnings per share rose 32.2% in the third quarter, while a sum of its model-level U.S. figures shows EV deliveries fell 43.2% through September amid $11.2 billion in EV-related charges.

The model-level figures add up to 82,152 electric vehicles delivered in the United States from January through September 2026, compared with 144,668 in the same months of 2025. That is a 43.2% year-over-year decline. The totals cover U.S. deliveries.

Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $3.70, up from $2.80 in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue reached $50.015 billion, net income attributable to stockholders was $3.335 billion, and adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) totaled $4.106 billion. North America’s adjusted EBIT climbed 43.4% to $3.592 billion. GM International’s adjusted EBIT was $28 million, down from $226 million a year earlier.

For 2026, GM narrowed its adjusted EBIT forecast to $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion from $14 billion to $16 billion. Its adjusted earnings-per-share range moved to $12.75 to $13.75 from $12 to $14. The company raised its adjusted automotive free cash flow outlook to $11.5 billion to $12.5 billion, up from $9.5 billion to $11.5 billion.

GM estimated about $2 billion in 2026 costs from commodity inflation, logistics and DRAM. It expects gross tariff costs near the low end of its $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion range.

EV-related charges since the second half of 2025 totaled $11.2 billion. Of that amount, $7.4 billion was classified as cash charges, and $4.6 billion had been paid by Sept. 30. GM expects to pay about $1 billion more in the fourth quarter and the remaining amount in 2027.
