Bitget set Oct. 13 as the launch date for a service that lets customers transfer eligible U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs from outside brokerages into its rToken market without first selling the holdings.

The offering is part of Broker Interoperability, a project intended to connect traditional securities accounts with digital asset infrastructure. It gives customers a way to move eligible brokerage-held positions into Bitget’s rToken ecosystem. The service covers more than 3,000 tokenized assets.

Transfers use a Free of Payment (FOP) process. Shares are sent to an Alpaca omnibus account designated for Bitget. Once received, the In-Kind Tokenization Network converts each holding into rTokens and credits them to the customer’s spot account.

Depending on the asset, local rules and Bitget’s terms, customers may be able to use rTokens for spot trading, margin, lending and borrowing, or earn products. Those conditions determine which holdings and uses are available to each customer.

Bitget is also rolling out Super Match, which connects its trading platform and market makers with multiple liquidity sources. The system is designed to improve execution and price discovery as tokenized-stock trading expands, including outside regular U.S. market hours. Super Match is tied to Bitget’s Universal Exchange plan to bring traditional and digital assets into one trading ecosystem.

Bitget’s rToken assets under management totaled about $114 million as of July 6, and the platform had processed more than 2 million transactions. The figures provide a snapshot of the rToken business as the exchange develops its transfer and liquidity offerings.

Trading access alone does not guarantee enough buyers for a large position or a sale within the available time at a tolerable discount.
