> Settlement could take hours instead of days, but customer fees, exchange-rate terms and initial markets remain undisclosed.

[Western Union selected Noah](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/37143>) for its planned stablecoin payout service, which could shorten remittance settlement from days to hours, while customer fees for proposed transfers remain undisclosed.

Western Union selected Noah to provide infrastructure for Receiver Redirect, a planned payout option connecting transfers sent through the company’s agent network with token delivery to recipients. The service would add a digital-dollar payout route to Western Union’s remittance network.

Recipients could collect the U.S. Dollar Payment Token (USDPT), a dollar stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A. on Solana. The planned service spans more than 60 currencies and more than 200 countries and territories, but no launch date or initial markets have been named.

Noah would handle funding and delivery operations, including prefunding transfers, converting funds into USDPT and distributing tokens. The company would also provide treasury, licensing and local compliance support.

Western Union and Noah also expect the service to lower costs. They have not disclosed customer fees, exchange-rate terms, transfer limits or local conversion arrangements. Those terms will shape what customers pay and how much value recipients receive; the settlement-time projection alone does not establish a transfer’s total cost.

Global remittance costs averaged 6.36% in the third quarter of 2025, while bank providers averaged 14.99%. The bank-provider average was more than twice the global figure, providing a broad benchmark rather than a fee estimate for Western Union’s planned service.

“Customers increasingly want greater flexibility in how they receive, hold and use money,” said Malcolm Clarke, Western Union’s global head of digital assets. The companies have not said when Receiver Redirect will launch or where it will first be available.
