# Doubled Subscription Accompanies BlackSky's Seven-Figure Gen-3 Expansion

BlackSky Technology Inc. expanded its seven-figure Gen-3 Assured contract with an international defense partner on Oct. 22, after the partner’s subscription doubled in less than six months.

The relationship began with a small Gen-2 pilot before the customer moved to an annual Gen-3 Assured subscription. The expanded service includes Gen-2 revisits at a frequent cadence and varied times, alongside Gen-3 imagery at 35-centimeter resolution across areas selected by the partner.

“This expansion exemplifies the type of accelerated adoption of Gen-3 and our Assured services among our international customers,” BlackSky CEO Brian O’Toole said.
