> The trailer-mounted Acoustics 360XT units will support communications, force protection and emergency alerts at bases and forward operating sites across the U.S. Central Command area.

Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS) received a $5 million U.S. Army order for mobile warning equipment meant to support communications, force protection and emergency alerts at military sites across the U.S. Central Command area.

The order covers Acoustics 360XT mobile emergency warning systems for Army bases and forward operating sites in the command area. Across the past nine years, Army orders for Genasys’ mobile mass-notification systems have exceeded $18 million, with this order included in the total.

A separate $3 million follow-on Army order announced July 8 covered 360XT systems for overseas forward operating sites. At that time, cumulative Army mobile mass-notification orders exceeded $13 million.

The 360XT systems are trailer-mounted and designed to broadcast voice messages, deliver emergency notifications and force-protection messages, and provide operational communications in remote or austere environments.

David Schnell, Genasys’ senior vice president of business development, said, “We believe this follow-on order signals the U.S. Army’s continued confidence in the effectiveness and reliability of the Genasys 360XT.”
