Alpek, S.A.B. de C.V. raised its 2026 comparable EBITDA outlook to $990 million after third-quarter revenue grew 31% year over year. Operating free cash flow was $5 million for the quarter, alongside a $226 million investment in net working capital.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 reached $2.179 billion, 1% above the second quarter. Earnings per share were $0.07, compared with a loss of $0.02 per share in the third quarter of 2025. Consolidated net income reached $151 million, following a $36 million loss a year earlier. Net income attributable to controlling interest totaled $140 million.

Comparable EBITDA was $276 million, up 101% from a year earlier but down 18% from the previous quarter. Reported EBITDA came to $303 million. The company’s earlier 2026 comparable EBITDA outlook was $750 million to $800 million.

The quarter benefited from strong execution, elevated Chinese PET reference margins and ocean freight rates. Chinese PET reference margins averaged $213 per ton, while reference ocean freight rates to South America averaged $321 per ton. CEO Jorge Young said, “Our local-for-local production strategy is delivering strong results, particularly in North America.”

The 2026 outlook assumes PET margins and ocean freight rates will moderate toward year-end. Financial information is unaudited and based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
