> The preliminary framework points to mid- to high-single-digit growth. Third-quarter revenue was $2.638 billion, up from $2.458 billion a year earlier.

Waste Connections raised its 2026 revenue outlook to about $10.09 billion and outlined a preliminary framework for mid- to high-single-digit growth in 2027. The plan sets a growth range ahead of the company’s next formal annual outlook.

President and CEO Ronald J. Mittelstaedt described the range on the company’s Oct. 22 earnings call: “we should be positioned for mid- to high single-digit revenue growth in 2027.”

The framework ties expected growth to pricing in solid waste, fuel and material surcharges, and higher commodity-related revenue from exploration and production waste and recycling. It also includes acquisitions expected to close in the remainder of 2026 and during 2027. The outlook assumes the current economic environment does not change.

Completed acquisitions and renewable natural gas facilities brought online in 2026 are expected to provide about 1% in combined rollover. The company did not assign separate contribution figures to the other growth drivers. Acquisition activity and commodity values could affect the preliminary framework.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $2.638 billion, compared with $2.458 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. The company’s updated 2026 outlook also calls for $3.345 billion in adjusted EBITDA and adjusted free cash flow of $1.40 billion to $1.45 billion.

The 2026 estimates assume current economic conditions and underlying trends hold steady. They exclude the impact of additional acquisitions that may close during the year. The revenue estimate replaces the $10.02 billion to $10.05 billion range issued in July, when the company also projected adjusted EBITDA of $3.33 billion to $3.34 billion. The update was the second increase to the company’s 2026 outlook this year, following the [July outlook increase](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/37722>).

Waste Connections provides nonhazardous waste collection, transfer and disposal, recycling and renewable-fuel services. The company serves roughly nine million residential, commercial and industrial accounts in 46 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces. The company plans to issue formal guidance for 2027 in February.
