> Menlo Ventures’ position is estimated at $14 billion, while Coatue, Spark Capital and Sequoia also hold stakes valued in the billions on paper.

Anthropic’s $965 billion private valuation now puts several investors’ stakes in the billions, including a $17 billion estimate for Iconiq, as the AI company approaches a possible public listing this year.

The positions are marked using the price from Anthropic’s latest funding round, making them private-market estimates. The company’s public offering is expected this year and could carry a valuation as high as $2 trillion, more than twice its latest private mark.

Iconiq’s stake is estimated at $17 billion after a $6 billion investment last year, when Anthropic was valued at $183 billion. Menlo Ventures has invested more than $1 billion over time, led Anthropic’s Series D and holds a position estimated at $14 billion.

Coatue’s holding is marked at roughly $7.5 billion after $4.75 billion in total investment. The firm first backed Anthropic in 2025, when the company’s valuation was $183 billion, and co-led its two latest funding rounds. That entry point was well above Spark Capital’s 2023 Series C valuation of $5 billion.

Spark invested $75 million in the Series C round, and its current stake is estimated at $7 billion. The position’s estimated value is more than 90 times Spark’s initial investment. Sequoia invested $3 billion earlier this year at a $380 billion company valuation for about 1% ownership. At Anthropic’s latest private price, that stake is worth more than twice the initial investment.

These estimates apply the latest private round’s price to holdings built at different company valuations. Spark’s entry came at $5 billion, while Sequoia’s investment came at $380 billion; Anthropic’s latest funding round put its private valuation at $965 billion. The figures describe estimated stake values at that price rather than public-market trading.

Earlier investor discussions put a potential IPO value near [$1.5 trillion](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/33201>), below the $2 trillion upper-end figure associated with a possible listing.
