> The dividend is payable Nov. 9 to shareholders of record Nov. 2. The new repurchase program starts after the current authorization expires Oct. 31.

Sierra Bancorp approved a $0.27 quarterly dividend and a new repurchase authorization for up to one million shares, setting shareholder payment and buyback timelines into 2027.

The company, parent of Bank of the Sierra, trades on Nasdaq as BSRR. Its board approved the dividend Oct. 22, and Sierra Bancorp announced it Oct. 23.

The cash dividend is payable Nov. 9 to shareholders listed on the company’s books at the close of business Nov. 2. The $0.27 payment matches the prior quarter’s amount; Sierra Bancorp raised the dividend 4% to that level in July.

The new buyback program will begin after the current authorization expires Oct. 31 and will run through Oct. 31, 2027. Sierra Bancorp had 381,532 shares remaining under the existing program.

The dividend is the company’s 111th consecutive quarterly cash payment. Its regular dividend history dates to 1987 and includes payments by Bank of the Sierra before Sierra Bancorp was formed.
