> Total revenue declined to $63.826 million, even as revenue from customer contracts rose. Assets totaled $1.177 billion on April 30, and the company completed hotel acquisitions in several markets.

AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD) posted $42.397 million in unaudited profit for the half-year ending April 30, compared with $51.462 million in the matching period a year earlier.

The company released its results Oct. 23. Total revenue fell to $63.826 million from $73.160 million, while revenue from contracts with customers rose to $26.398 million from $25.310 million.

Net gains from revaluing financial investments came to $37.428 million, versus $47.498 million a year earlier. Income-tax expense increased to $3.954 million from $811,000. AMTD Digital completed its acquisition of the AMTD IDEA Tribeca Hotel in New York during the six-month period. After April 30, it completed hotel-related acquisitions in Perth and Kuala Lumpur on May 29 and in London on June 2. The company's businesses span digital media, content and marketing, investments, hospitality and VIP services.
