> Deposits and withdrawals are suspended. If service resumes, Upbit plans to restore withdrawals first and address deposits separately.

Upbit placed Initia (INIT) under trading caution Monday, Oct. 26, citing a security incident it said could harm users. INIT deposits and withdrawals were already suspended.

Upbit’s notice described a hacking or other security incident whose cause was unknown or that had not been remedied. It covered wallets managed by a virtual-asset issuer or operator, as well as distributed ledgers used to issue, transfer or store virtual assets. Upbit said it acted to protect investors because the incident could harm users.

INIT deposits and withdrawals are suspended. If service resumes, Upbit will restore withdrawals first and issue a separate notice about when deposits can resume. Upbit gave no date for when service might resume.

The move follows Initia’s [network halt after an exploit](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/39716>). As of 5:52 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 23, the project had not announced a restart date, had not published a final loss figure and its investigation remained underway.
