> Net earnings attributable to Nucor stockholders rose to $1.319 billion from $607 million a year earlier. The company expects fourth-quarter earnings to be generally in line with or modestly above Q3.

Nucor’s third-quarter diluted earnings per share exceeded its own forecast as sales reached $11.249 billion, with higher prices and volumes lifting earnings in its steel-mills and steel-products businesses.

Diluted EPS was $5.80 for the 13 weeks ended Oct. 3, above the company’s forecast range of $5.55 to $5.65. Net sales totaled $11.249 billion, compared with $8.521 billion in the quarter ended Oct. 4, 2025.

Net earnings attributable to Nucor stockholders were $1.319 billion, up from $607 million in the year-earlier quarter. Diluted EPS rose from $2.63 over the same period.

Higher average selling prices and volumes lifted steel-mills earnings, partly offset by higher costs. Steel-products earnings increased on higher volumes and pricing, while raw-materials earnings declined as prices and shipments fell.

Nucor projects fourth-quarter earnings at roughly the third-quarter level or slightly above it. It expects earnings in steel mills and steel products to remain stable, with raw-materials earnings slightly lower.

Nucor Chair and CEO Leon Topalian said, “Nucor is well positioned to deliver long-term shareholder value.” The steelmaker has operating facilities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Nucor’s call to discuss the results is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET Tuesday (14:00 UTC).
