> The company’s earnings call is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Its latest results showed revenue growth alongside lower year-over-year margins in both major segments.

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is due to report its Q3 2026 results after the market closes Tuesday, Oct. 27, with second-quarter margin declines drawing attention to performance across its business segments.

The quarter ended Sept. 30. UHS’ earnings call is scheduled for 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) Wednesday, Oct. 28. The company shifted the release from Oct. 26 to avoid conflicts with other health care companies’ calls.

Its operations span hospital-based acute care and behavioral-health services.

In Q3 2025, it recorded $4.495 billion in revenue and diluted earnings of $5.86 per share. For Q2 2026, revenue was $4.638 billion, up 8.3% from $4.284 billion a year earlier, and diluted earnings were $5.98 per share.

Same-facility revenue increased 8.2% in acute care and 7.4% in behavioral health during Q2 2026. Segment EBITDA margins moved lower year over year: acute care’s margin was 12.8%, down 60 basis points, and behavioral health’s was 23.2%, down 70 basis points.

UHS’ July 2026 full-year forecast calls for adjusted diluted earnings of $22.28 to $23.65 per share and revenue of $18.501 billion to $18.762 billion. The midpoint of its adjusted earnings range was 2.6% below the midpoint of its prior forecast.

The company also recorded a favorable $100 million pretax impact in Q2 2026 from a Florida Medicaid directed payment program covering Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025. Its revised forecast excluded additional benefit from the program’s increased size for periods after Sept. 30, 2025, beyond amounts recorded through June 30, 2026, because the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services had not approved the increase for those later periods.
