> The offshore driller lowered the top end of its adjusted EBITDA outlook and raised its 2026 capital spending guidance.

Noble Corporation plc posted a $117.024 million net loss for the quarter ended Sept. 30 as revenue fell 8.7% from a year earlier to $728.764 million. The offshore drilling contractor recorded a $21.095 million loss and $798.017 million in revenue in the year-earlier quarter.

Adjusted diluted earnings per share were a loss of 57 cents, compared with adjusted earnings of 19 cents per share a year earlier. Diluted GAAP earnings per share were a loss of 73 cents.

Adjusted EBITDA totaled $201 million, down from $212 million in the second quarter and $254 million a year earlier. Several rigs across the fleet transitioning between contracts also affected the quarter.

Noble set its 2026 revenue outlook at $2.85 billion to $2.90 billion, compared with its previous range of $2.80 billion to $2.90 billion. The updated range raises the lower end while keeping the upper end unchanged.

The company lowered the upper end of its adjusted EBITDA outlook to $900 million from $925 million, with the bottom of the range remaining at $850 million. Noble also increased its capital expenditure guidance to $680 million-$705 million from $615 million-$665 million, primarily because of higher customer-reimbursable spending.

New contract awards since the previous fleet status report totaled about $560 million. Backlog was $6.7 billion as of Oct. 26.

Noble CEO Robert W. Eifler said the awards “support a strengthening fleet utilization profile as we move through 2027.” Noble provides contract drilling services with a fleet of offshore drilling units.
